We have two charitable organizations which are of special interest to our REALTORS®... "The Sunshine Foundation" and "Habitat for Humanity".
"The Sunshine Foundation"... is the original "Dream Makers Wish Foundation" for children. "Sunshine's" sole purpose is to answer the dreams of ill children whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to the financial strain that the child's illness may cause.

"Sunshine" answers the dreams of seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children, ages 3-21 from around the world at the Dream Village located in Central Florida. |
The "Adopt-A-Dream Program" is like adopting a child...
Individuals, civic groups or businesses can adopt the dream of one of the special children. There are currently over 250 children on the waiting list waiting for help.
Here's how it works:

Become a sponsor on any level and you will be recognized in "Sunshines" newsletter and website.

As a silver sponsor or above, "Sunshine" will forward to you photos and thank you letters from the child and family that the foundation receives as well a press release about the child's dream to their local newspaper recognizing you as the sponsor.
When possible, "Sunshine" tries to connect Platinum or Gold sponsors with a child from their area so that they may present the child with their dream! To join the team of Dream Makers, contact Bridget Bonasch, BBonasch@sunshinefoundation.org.
Also, The Sunshine Foundation is the only charity recognizing children with Progeria... a very rare disease that accelerates aging. Only seven children have the disease in the United States. In the century since it was discovered, just a handful of children with the disorder have lived to reach age 21. Most are claimed by strokes or heart attacks in their early teens illness. Presently, there are 30± known cases around the world.
The Dream Village is nine fairytale themed cottages set on 22 acres in Central Florida. This is where most of the families stay when they visit Central Florida locations. The village offers for the family a quiet and relaxing atmosphere where they can enjoy a handicapped equipped playground, wheelchair accessible pool, a miniature golf course and many other amenities to make their stay truly a dream vacation! Of course, there is always a trip to Mickey's home if that is part of the childs' dream.

Another resounding success! Another deserving family received the keys to their new Habitat for Humanity home in Lawrenceville, GA on August 18, 2006. Another new home for the Robinson Family of Covington, Louisiana on November 11, 2006. We’re looking forward to our fourth build, this time in Reading, MA.
